Hello and welcome to my website! I’m Evgeniy Chertolyasov, an architect and interior designer with over 12 years of work experience. I grew up in Saint-Petersburg, Russia, a city with the most beautiful architecture in the country, and probably one of the most fascinating places in the world from the designers’ perspective. Perhaps it determined my love and passion for exquisite buildings and aesthetic structures. I have been working as a freelancer for more than 6 years, after I received a B.S. Degree in Architecture and Interior Design from Saint Petersburg State University, and have mastered my skills in large architectural and construction firms in St. Petersburg since 2004. Being a freelancer allowed me to widen my horizon and learn much about prospectives that the world’s talented and creative architects have to offer. I am constantly learning about new interior design ideas and approaches, and implement them into my projects. I’ve worked with clients from the US, Europe, China, Philippines, Ukraine and Russia and other countries, and I am very pleased that I was able to satisfy their needs for the ideal design outcomes. I believe that everyone deserves to live and work in an aesthetically pleasing and physically safe environment. I create exterior and interior spaces depending on the client’s needs, budgets and ideals, whether it be modern or classic style. Or maybe it can be something totally new, if it reflects preference and appropriateness to the existing architecture. As an architect I specialize in 3D visualizations (rendering) and planning services for new construction, renovations and additions for commercial and residential projects. I provide architecture services from site and environmental analysis to landscape design. I have previously worked with urban sustainable planning and design projects, as well as with rural dwellings, including beach houses and mobile homes. We typically start with your brief and discuss the requirements of your building. Next comes schematic design drawings, or sketches, to determine general arrangements of rooms. After your approval, I will develop a detailed plan with exact measurements, sizes and shapes. Outline specifications will be prepared listing the major materials and room finishes. Based on these documents your contractor will be able to establish an actual construction cost to build the project. At any stage I can create visual models (hand-drawings or computer-based 2D / 3D models) of the design to help you better visualize it. For these purposes I use such programs as 3dsmax which allow us to prototype your project before we build it. The planning is made with the help of Archicad and Revit. These technologies (also know as BIM: building information modelling) make the construction much easier and eliminate all possible mistakes.
